Whiteboard and Plexiglass Booth $500

Some hints

If you have some artistic skill then the whiteboard stands and displays can be very easily branded using color markers.
If you have no skill then use a projector to project your brand onto the whiteboard and trace the drawing, see some examples.
If you find visitors are brushing against whiteboard cover with clingwrap.
Always keep extra markers, expecially colors of your branding.
If you can afford a large display, it looks great to use a whiteboard video like http://www.truscribe.com/
Consider adding a branded surfboard, skateboard or bicycle hanging above or in the booth to add some edge and marketing zizzle.
Even hanging a t-shirt with your brand or message on the whiteboard adds to your booth branding.

Tell attendees your booth only cost $500 (thanks to startupbooths.com) and that you are a startup. People love to hear your story.
As attendees pass by, smile and an engage them with " do you like our booth it only cost $500"
Write message on the booth like "we have the cheapest booth at this conference" and any messages related to your brand or product like "let us show you how to save money".
Always stand at front of booth. Marketing at a conference is like selling used CDs at a flee market. Engage those passing by your booth.

Use cheap cardboard sings that point to the booth "free water", "free beer" or even something really different like "free (brand related)"

Use whiteboard to adapt your message. React to changes in market or local news. Like "record breaking temps in Las Vegas! see what is cool with our brand"
Use A/B testing for testing out for messages.
Be creative with messaging. Remember people expect big exhibitors to have nice booths you want to show them something different.
Nothing beats a nice big message relevant to the event. Think about what is the topic for event is its the next big thing in mobile then write than on your booth.

Most importantly have fun! You are a startup and not an employee of big corporation. Show everyone you are energetic, happy and passionate about your business.

Brownpaper and brick Booth:

Just use some big rolls of parcel paper ($7) to brand booths and stands. Use a black marker to brand the brown paper.
Use red brick and greenery to make booth look recycled/ reused. Use old cardboard to add some signage.
Tell people you share the booth and recycle.
Again be creative and have fun. Add an old bath or something completely out of ordinary for the conference and fill it with branded toys.
If you beleive you customers are in the 40s add something like a 30 year old bike, or toy or TV show.
